Scott Allen Decker

DeckerFuneral service for Scott Allen Decker, age 77, of Point, will be held Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015, 2:00 p,m, at  First Baptist Church of Point.  Bro. Zachary Honzell will officiate.  Interment will follow in Smyrna Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, 6:00-8:00 pm, at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home in Emory.
Mr. Decker was born Jan. 8, 1938, in Smyrna community, to Elmer and Vannie Leota Smith Decker. He graduated high school at Emory High School. He later married Mary Lee Griffith in Durant, OK on Oct. 6, 1956. Mr. Decker worked for Jorgensen Steel for many years, as a warehouseman. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Point.
Survivors include: Wife:  Mary Decker of Point
2 Sons:  Kenneth Dwain Decker (Rebecca) of Alba; and Michael A. Decker (Julie) of Quinlan
3 Sisters:  Margie Harvey of Emory; Edith Doudney of Anna; Ann Staggs (Paul) of Balch Springs; and Lillian “Punk” Hukill  of Lindale
Grandchildren:  Travis Dwain Decker; and Kristen Alyse Decker
Step-grandchildren:  3
Step-great-grandchildren:  2
Numerous other loving family and friends
Preceded in death by:  parents; 2 brothers, Jessie Decker and Zollie Brown; 1 sister, Christine McAree
