Hooks - Original PictureFuneral services for Earnest “Bud” Hooks, age 60 of Sulphur Springs will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at League Street Church of Christ with Jerry Savage officiating.  Interment with military graveside honors will follow at Forest Academy Cemetery with Owen Jobe, Troy Sewell, Justin Little, Alex Liddle, Tiny and Rusty McIlveene serving as pallbearers.  Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 16, 2015 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.

Earnest “Bud” passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at his hunting lease in Bairdstown.  He was born on May 18, 1955, in Refugio the son of Earnest and Thelma (Overly) Hooks. He married Lisa Childree Liddle on August 18, 2012 in Hot Springs, Arkansas.  He served in the Marines, was a regional sales manager for the Dallas Morning News, Sulphur Springs ISD (Douglass Elementary) tutor, member of League Street Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife; sons, Tony Hooks of Sulphur Springs, Tim Hooks of Sulphur Springs, Kendall Robbins of Sulphur Springs, Alex Liddle of Austin, Justin Liddle of Tennessee and Marshall Liddle of Germany; eight grandchildren, Payton Hooks, Haylee Hooks, Mycaylah Hooks, Hanna Sandin, Hayden Hooks, Tristan Liddle, Gabrieal Liddle and Audrey Liddle and sister, Bobbie Thompson.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
