Sulphur Springs Class of 2016 Holding Fundraiser
The Sulphur Springs class of 2016 is having a Back to School 5K Color Run fundraiser on Saturday starting at 7 a.m. at Celebration Plaza. Registration begins at 6:15 a.m. The run starts and ends at the plaza. Entry fee is $25 and includes a tee shirt. Registration forms are also available at Fieldhouse Sports. Sulphur Springs Police Department Personnel Changes
The Sulphur Springs Police Department has made the last personnel move necessary due to the departure of Chief Jim Bayuk who began as a Sulphur Springs ISD Police Officer Friday. Former Sulphur Springs ISD Police Officer Sent to Jail
A former Sulphur Springs ISD Police Officer, 30-year old William Nathan Gaddis of Sulphur Springs is serving a 90-day sentence in County Jail after entering a guilty plea Thursday in District Court to a reduced charge of reckless bodily injury to a child. Sulphur Springs Catching Up To Rainfall Averages
The month of July was actually a wetter month than usual in Sulphur Springs. Average rainfall for July is 3.22 inches and the city Water Treatment Plant recorded 4.60 inches, 1.38 inches of rain above normal. That cuts the rain deficit so far in 2014 from 8.1-inches to 6.72 inches. We have received 20.83 inches of rain for the first seven months of 2014. Average is 27.55 inches. Sulphur Springs Woman Charged With Theft Of Property
A 19-year old Sulphur Springs woman has been charged with misdemeanor theft of property over $50 after she allegedly took items from the hair salon where she worked and then attempted to sell them at another business in Sulphur Springs.
