The Sulphur Springs School Board accepted the retirement of Director of Transportation Larry Finney Monday night. His last day is July 31. In almost 30 years with the district, Finney also served as a bus driver, a principal and a teacher. SSISD School Board Agrees To School Lunch Price Increase
The Sulphur Springs School Board agreed to raise school lunch prices 25-cents at a Monday night meeting. The cost will go from $2.00 to $2.25. Rickie Elliott, district Director of Child Nutrition, said the increase would show the district is trying to achieve the intent of federal Food and Nutrition Service rules. At a special meeting Wednesday, the Sulphur Springs School Board gained a little as they attempt to fill their vacancies for the next school year.
