The Sulphur Springs School Board accepted the retirement of Director of Transportation Larry Finney Monday night. His last day is July 31. In almost 30 years with the district, Finney also served as a bus driver, a principal and a teacher. The Sulphur Springs School Board agreed to raise school lunch prices 25-cents at a Monday night meeting. The cost will go from $2.00 to $2.25. The Sulphur Springs School Board had their second budget work session Monday night (July 21). Superintendent Mike Lamb said work on the budget had been going on for weeks. He added it was going well at this point. The latest draft budget uses preliminary taxable property values and is based on 97% tax collections.
