Texas Department of Public Safety troopers July 4 made five arrests following five traffic stops. Two were for traffic offenses and three on alcohol and drug charges. The Hopkins County Grand Jury during the June court session signed more than 50 indictments, pushing those cases forward for prosecution. Half of the charges were for drug and alcohol offenses.
