By Jan Vaughn I don’t have much news this week, but I wanted to pass this along. I just learned that Beth Patterson, of Jefferson, passed away and was buried in the Tira Cemetery on January 4, 2019. Her husband, was the late Jerry Patterson. Please be in prayer for the family. I have to admit that I am not familiar with this couple. By Jan Vaughn Kim and Lee Beck traveled to Lubbock to surprise son, Jackson Daily, on his 25th birthday. They stayed at the Woodrow House Bed and Breakfast that is owned by Jackson’s in-laws. Kim shared, “A big birthday celebration and New Year’s party rang in the new year with family and friends.” She adds, “Son, Jason Beck, came to visit last week on a break from Naval assignment in Washington, D.C. Crowning of current Ms. Hopkins County Senior Mary Ivey in 2018 Since 2009, the Ms. Hopkins County Senior Pageant has brought a delightful annual contest in celebration of the Senior woman and her contribution to the community. By Jan Vaughn Robert and Yvonne Weir’s family got together for Christmas, with Destri, Eben, and Nico arriving on Sunday, as well as Dustin, Natalie, and Maria, and Sarah and Lucas. They had snacks and a bonfire and Sarah and Lucas opened their gifts before they left. The next day Dacy, Mike, Elise, and Eli came and they had fajitas and all the trimmings, followed by their gift exchange.
