The Lady Cats Basketball Team had a very competitive game at Princeton last Friday (December 20) with major point production coming from a sophomore and three freshmen. According to the Dallas Morning News, the Lady Cats were led by sophomore post Hannah Cordell who scored 12 points. Freshman Kenzie Willis had 9 points. Freshman Addisyn Wall added 8 points. After the Wildcats Basketball Team lost to Denton Guyer last Tuesday (December 17), Coach Clark Cipoletta told his team they needed to play with more physicality. The #17 ranked Wildcats Basketball Team takes on another Class 6A team as Jesuit of Dallas comes to the main gym at Sulphur Springs High School Friday night (December 20). There will be a freshmen game at 5 p.m., a JV contest at 6:15 p.m. and the varsity game at around 7:30 p.m. The Wildcats come in with a season record of 11-5 after Tuesday night’s loss at home to Denton Guyer, 70-64. The Saltillo Lady Lions picked up a non-district win against Wills Point, 52-30 at Saltillo Tuesday night (December 17). The Lady Lions got off to a good start and led after the first quarter, 19-7. Wills Point cut three points off of the lead in the second quarter but still trailed the Lady Lions, 25-16 at halftime.
