Mitchell Chapel Church of God in Christ is Having its’ Annual Rescue the Perishing food Event
Mitchell Chapel Church of God in Christ at 402 South Jackson in Sulphur Springs will have its’ annual Rescue The Perishing food distribution beginning at 7:30 a.m. Saturday at the church. Food baskets for those in need will be available until all of them are gone. Church pastor the Reverend Nelson Gatlin calls the effort a hand up and not a hand out. He says he wants no families to go through the holidays hungry.

Harvest Festival a Huge Success
Saturday evening the FUMC held their annual Harvest Festival. If the crowd at dinner was any indication the fund raiser was a huge success.
