Two Hopkins County men have been charged with possessing child pornography. Another arrest or two are possible pending a forensic download of a computer in Tyler. The cases are not believed to be connected. Annually the county applies to the State Comptrollers Office for excess money from electric co-ops that operate in the county, Farmers Electric and Wood County Electric. Cattle Theft Averted

Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raiser’s Association Special Ranger Toney Hurley has arrested a man in connection with an aggravated theft by check case at Sulphur Springs Livestock Auction last year. 30-year-old Jacob Thompson of Louisiana was arrested by Hurley Friday in Oklahoma.
