Update: Tornado Watch for Hopkins, Delta, and Lamar Ends: Continues for Rains, Van Zandt Until 6 PM.

At 1:50 PM the National Weather Service removed Delta, Hopkins and Lamar counties from the Tornado Watch area as thunderstorms moved out of those three counties. February 24, 2018 – A 38-year old Sulphur Springs man died as the result of a gunshot Saturday morning at a residence in the city. Information is limited at this time and his name is being withheld as Sulphur Springs police and Texas Ranger John Vance investigate the incident.
