Significant Weather Advisory: Strong Wind Possible, Heavy Rain in Western Hopkins County

A significant weather advisory issued by the National Weather Service until 6:15 p.m. Thursday for Western Hopkins County. A strong thunderstorm is being tracked by Doppler Radar between Cumby and Sulphur Springs, moving south at 15 mph. Wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible in this storm. Heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding.

A traffic stop by a Hopkins County deputy at the 134-mile marker on I-30 resulted in the arrest of Brandon Haynes, 36, of Monticello, Arkansas. Haynes was wanted on charges in Dallas County.
