20th Anniversary Gala Has a Few Seats Available

April 23, 2026 – Sulphur Springs, TX – As of this writing, there are seats still available for the 20th anniversary Gala coming up on May 9. Those interested in attending should act now to secure their tickets by visiting Gala2026.GiveSmart.com.

As always, the community has graciously provided its support through volunteer time, ticket purchases, sponsorships, monetary donations, prizes, and other valuable help. This assistance allows the Foundation to offer life-saving clinics and educational programs to Hopkins County residents. It also aids the heroic efforts of the Foundation’s partner agencies, the Hopkins County Hospital District/EMS and CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital – Sulphur Springs. The Foundation provides funding for medical equipment, facility upgrades, and new medical programs to the two local organizations.

The 2026 Gala will fund new medical equipment for the surgical wing at CMF-SS. Construction has been completed in the new addition to the wing, and renovation is underway in the original surgical wing footprint.

The Gala was postponed from its original January date due to bad weather. This is the first weather-related postponement in the twenty-year history of this event. Though the date was changed, the number of attendees has grown. Currently, it will be the third largest number of attendees in the Gala’s twenty-year history.

The Foundation, an IRS 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, was founded by a group of visionary local citizens in support of Hopkins County healthcare. Its original fundraiser was a cookbook titled “Apples to Zucchini,” which honored or memorialized locals with cancer.

To join the Foundation in its mission to support local healthcare, please follow it on Facebook or Instagram, or call 903-438-4799.

We saved you a seat! A few tickets are still available for the 20th Anniversary Gala on May 9.

The 2017 Gala theme was ” The Beat Goes On” and was chaired by Sher and Sam Sevier. The theme recognized the local hospital’s transition from being a county-owned facility to being part of CHRISTUS Health…all without missing a beat! The event funded two Giraffe Omni Beds and an Alter G Anti-Gravity Treadmill for CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital – Sulphur Springs.
