A Message of Inspiration From the Author of Living Loved, April 19, 2026
Listen friends, oppression is not something that the Lord sends to us! Oppression is from the enemy. I don’t care who is oppressing you or where the oppression appears to be coming from, it is a device of satan!
Definition of oppression:
1 a : unjust or cruel exercise of authority or power b : something that oppresses especially in being an unjust or excessive exercise of power.
2 : a sense of being weighed down in body or mind : depression.
Satan comes to do nothing but steal, kill, destroy and deceive! Jesus came to give us an abundant life. Not saying everything will be perfect but He is not the oppressor! Even if someone comes in His name and oppression happens, it is not from the Lord!
Let me get to the good news!! The good news is that we have all authority over satan and we can come against that spirit of oppression! We can wield our swords and fight against him! Using the word of God and His truths we can be set free! If we are the Lords children then we hear His voice and we know it! When satan comes whispering his lies or someone comes knowingly or unknowingly on his behalf and begins telling us lies or trying to bring us down we can come against that with the word of God!! It’s so important friends to know not only who God is, but know what He says is true about you, your life, this world, etc. When we know the character of God, when we know the promises of God, when we know who He says we are we are less easily oppressed by satan and his lies! (BTW if you need help finding out what those are message me I have compiled a list of scriptures to help get you started!!). The amazing thing is that we can be oppressed physically (because let’s face it sometimes it takes time to get out of difficult situations) but we can choose to be free emotionally, we can choose to be free spiritually! Take those lies captive to the obedience of Christ and begin speaking Gods promises, the truths of His word and remind satan that he is defeated! That he has no control over you!! Where the spirit of the Lord is there IS freedom. Jesus came to set the captives (the oppressed, downtrodden, bruised, crushed in spirit and emotionally, broken down) free!! Walk in that freedom! Drop the chains of oppression and be free!! Freedom is a choice friends and one that ours for the taking!! I SAY NOW TO THE CAPTIVES OF OPPRESSION, BE FREE IN JESUS NAME!! We are loved by a Mighty God!! Love yall!!
“The Spirit of the Lord [is] upon Me, because He has anointed Me [the Anointed One, the Messiah] to preach the good news (the Gospel) to the poor; He has sent Me to announce release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to send forth as delivered those who are oppressed [who are downtrodden, bruised, crushed, and broken down by calamity],”
