A Message of Inspiration From the Author of Living Loved, April 12, 2026
Hey friends!! We are surrounded by constant demands, aren’t we?! Our minds are crowded, our schedules are full, and our souls are often weary. And friends, Scripture reminds us that long before God ever instructed His people to build a sanctuary, He Himself declared that HE would be their dwelling place.
Psalm 90:1 says,
“Lord, You have been our dwelling place throughout all generations.”
That means sanctuary is not something God merely offers—it is something He is. And I love that visual. I love that space He created for us. That sanctuary in Him. Friends listen,
God is our refuge when life feels unstable.
God is our shelter when our emotions are overwhelmed.
God is our safe place when the world feels unsafe.
Psalm 46:1 tells us,
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
Notice that phrase—very present. God is not distant in our chaos. He is not removed from our pain. He is present, near, accessible, and willing to receive us when we run to Him friends.
Psalm 91:1 says,
“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”
Oh friends look at that!! When we dwell in HIS secret place, the secret place of the most High, we will abide (meaning to live in) the shadow of the Almighty! Dwell means to live in or direct your attention. Friends. He wants us to live in and focus our attention on, Him!! To live in the fullness of His love!! So today and the days to come, choose to walk, to abide, to dwell in His love, His sanctuary. You are so loved, live loved!
