Visitation service for Nancy Harvieux, age 71, of Brashear, Texas, will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mrs. Harvieux passed away at her residence on Sunday, March 15, 2026.
Nancy Harvieux was born on January 31, 1955, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to the late Walter and Magdalene (Rauer) Harvieux. She married Stanley Kent on May 2, 1987, in Manhattan, Kansas. Nancy completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin and later earned her Master’s degree in communications from Kansas State University. Her favorite position during her career was serving as a Planner and Manager at the Wichita Area Metropolitan Planning Organization. Nancy had a deep and lasting love for animals, especially horses, which were one of the greatest joys of her life. She also adored her dogs and cats and treasured the comfort and companionship they brought her. Those who knew Nancy understood the special place horses held in her heart throughout her life.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Stanley Kent of Brashear, Texas; brother, John Harvieux; sister, Margaret Reeves
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Anne Harvieux and Mary Rink; and brother, Bernard Harvieux.
Nancy was cared for by many compassionate caregivers over the years and, since 2021, was under the loving care of Aleigha and Clint Williams.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation in Nancy’s memory.
