A Message of Inspiration From the Author of Living Loved, February 15, 2026

Hey friends!  The other day while I was driving I saw an old tire tread that had undoubtedly come from a vehicle while running down the interstate and it struck me rather deeply.  I saw that tire and I thought I’ve felt like that tire.  You know, at one point someone needed new tires, wanted new tires and they were so thankful for the tires when they got them.  They then proceeded to drive from here to there and everywhere just running those tires up and down the road without thought to when the tires would no longer be usable and then BAM the tire blows, the tread falls off and it’s left on the side of the road abandoned and discarded.

And friends listen, I have been there where I feel like everyone is just running me here and there and everywhere without any regard for how I’m doing. Not realizing that any moment I feel like I am going to bust, fall apart. And then when I do, they discard me, abandon me right in the middle of the road of my hurt.  And it hurts to be just discarded when you’re no longer useful to someone.

But friends, can I tell you that God is not like that.  He never leaves us or forsakes us.  He doesn’t use us up and then throw us aside when we get worn down.  The Word of God says in Psalm 37:23-24 The LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the LORD holds them by the hand.

I don’t know about you, but I love the idea that the King of the Universe, holds me by the hand. Even when I’m stumbling, even when I’m falling apart, even when it feels like everything else has left; He holds me by the hand.  He delights in every part of my life.  He directs my steps.  It also says He comforts the brokenhearted.  It says He bends down to listen when we come to Him in prayer.

Friends, you’re not an old abandoned tire on the side of the road.  You’re a child of the most high God. You are loved. You are chosen. You are seen. You are valuable.  You are held.   You are so loved, live loved friends!
