3 Jailed In Hopkins County On Felony Warrants

Three men were booked into Hopkins County jail March 16 on felony warrants.

Stephen Kyle Kaye

Stephen Kyle Kaye, 36, of Cleburne was taken into custody by Hopkins County Sheriff’s Deputy Elijah Fite at Johnson County jail at 1:34 p.m. March 16. Fite transported Kaye to Hopkins County jail, where he booked for bond forfeiture on a September 2016 possession of 1 gram or more but less than 4 grams of a Penalty Group 1 controlled substance, according to arrest reports.

Kaye remained in Hopkins County jail Tuesday. Bond was set at $20,000 on the charge, according to jail reports.


Jodice Oliver Macon

Special Crimes Unit Sgt. Joe Scott and Lt. Mark Estes was made aware of a warrant for Jodice Oliver Macon’s arrest. They went to Macon’s place of employment on North Hillcrest Drive, located him, took him into custody at 10:20 a.m. March 16, according to jail reports.

The 28-year-old Sulphur Springs man was transported him to jail, where he remained on the Pardon and Parole Board-Austin warrant for violation of parole Tuesday, March 17, according to arrest and jail reports.


Quentil Jerome Ransom

Quentil Jerome Ransom, 44, of Mount Vernon was in a Lexus GS500 stopped on Interstate 30 east at mile marker 135 for a traffic violation. A records check using his driver’s license reportedly showed Ransom to be wanted by Texas Department of Criminal Justice Parole Division for violation of parole river’s license check, Sulphur Springs Police Lt. Eddie Moon and Officer Cleve Williams noted in arrest reports.

After the warrant was confirmed, he was transported to the county jail, where he remained Tuesday, according to arrest and jail reports.
