A funeral service for Billie Marie Johnson, age 79, of Temple, Texas, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 20, 2022, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with David Prickett officiating. Interment will follow at Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mrs. Johnson passed away on February 17, 2022, at her residence.
Billie was born on November 8, 1942, in Corsicana, Texas, to Emmett O. and Loney (Moore) Prickett. She married Larry Johnson on August 19, 1960, in Stamford, Texas. Billie worked as an admitting clerk. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
She is survived by her sons, Ricky Dale Johnson and Gerald Dee Johnson and wife, Kim; daughter, Lynnetta Gail Mann and husband, Bobby; grandchildren, Michael Johnson, Nicholas Johnson, Jeremy Askew, Ashely Berger, Cassie Banda, Brian Johnson and Alyssa Hill; 16 great-grandchildren; brothers, Walter Prickett and Emmett Prickett; and sisters, Joyce Parmer and Barbara Lutrell.
Billie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry; brothers, Cecil Prickett, Calvin Prickett, E.C. Prickett and J.L Prickett; and sisters, Helen Whitehead and Allie Burdett.
