Funeral service for Ray W. McIntire, age 83, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel with B.J. Teer officiating. Interment will follow at Sherley Cemetery with Damon Davis, Randy Tobias, Wayne Mathis, Frankie McIntire, Jacky French and Mitchell Stout serving as pallbearers and Heritage Home Health and Hospice serving as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 P.M. on Tuesday, September, 7, 2021 at Murray-Owosky Funeral Home. Mr. McIntire passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at Christus Mother Francis Hospital, Sulphur Springs.
Ray was born on May 15, 1938, in Sulphur Springs, to J.D. and Beulah (Walker) McIntire. He married Jimmie Joyce Davis on January 31, 1959, in Dallas, Texas. Ray served in the US Army. Ray was the Milk Man for Oak Farms for 51 years.
He is survived by his wife, Jimmie; daughter, Cindy Horton and husband, Paul; son, David McIntire, and wife, T.J.; grandchildren, Channing Horton, Dana Shelton and husband Jeremy, Zackary Shelton, Alexis Shelton, Kara Shelton, Jarrod Shelton, Tayden Horton and Trinedy Horton; brother, Leon McIntire and wife, Treon; sisters, Barbara Kundent and husband Don, Nora Smith and Nancy Scott.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents.
