A Message of Inspiration From the Author of Living Loved, May 17, 2026

Hey friends, have you ever been in the middle of an extremely difficult trial in your life and begun to question the Lord—where He was in the situation, or if He really is who He says He is? Well, John the Baptist had been there.

He was thrown into prison by Herod, and he had been there about a year. He sent for two of his disciples and asked them to go to Jesus and ask Him if He was really the Messiah they had been waiting for.

What?!

Is this the same John who leapt in his mother’s womb upon the arrival of a pregnant Mary? Was this the same John the Baptist who proclaimed, upon seeing Jesus, “LOOK! There is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world”? Is this the same John who BAPTIZED Jesus and saw the dove descend upon Him and heard the voice of the Father proclaim Him as His Son?

You get my point. John KNEW Jesus was the Messiah. He KNEW Jesus personally. He watched Him perform miracles. He prophesied the coming of Christ.

BUT… he was in a trial.

He was arrested, thrown into prison, and hearing lots of grumbling about Jesus not being the Messiah. And his faith began to dwindle.

Friend, I get it. I understand. And I need you to know that it’s okay if your faith begins to dwindle. If, in the midst of the fiery trials of life—in the prison you are in—your faith begins to weaken as you grow weary in your trial… if you begin to ask questions… the Lord welcomes those questions, and He meets them with His love and His assurance.

Let me speak some life back into you, friend.

Hear this. Just as He did with John the Baptist, He is saying to you today:

“Jesus told them, ‘Go back to John and tell him what you have heard and seen—the blind see, the lame walk, those with leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised to life, and the Good News is being preached to the poor.’ And He added, ‘God blesses those who do not fall away because of me.’”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11‬:‭4‬-‭6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

He is saying:
Remember all that I have done.

I am STILL the God who heals.
I am STILL the God who sees you.
I am STILL the God who sent His Son to DIE FOR YOU.
I am the God who loves you.
I am STILL the God who provides for all your needs.

And just as He did with John, if you read further in Matthew 11, Jesus reminded John of who he was. He was the prophet sent to prepare the way for the Messiah. He was the one sent to preach the Good News.

And friend, He is reminding YOU of who you are.

He is saying:
You are an overcomer.
You are victorious.
You are a child of the Most High God.
You are going to get through this.
You are fearfully and wonderfully made.
He has a plan for you.

Friends, don’t grow weary in doing good, because at just the right time you WILL receive a harvest of blessing if you do not give up.

BUT if you find your faith dwindling, call out to the Father. Send word to Him, and He will encourage you. Get in His Word and let the living water flow over you.

You are seen and so loved, friend. So loved by a mighty God who DIED to save YOU.

He sees you, and He is not mad at you for your faith dwindling. He knows you. He made you. He is there for you.

And I am praying for you, friends. Praying for extra measures of faith for you in this season.  You are so loved. Live loved!
