Memorial service for Jerry Lancaster, age 73, of Sulphur Springs, TX, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at the Hopkins County Civic Center with Israel Lewis officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Bruce Ferrell, Mickey Barker, Roy King, Johnny Froneberger, John Poskey, Nicky Mullens, Kyle Roberts, Jonathan Holt, David Holt and Ryan Golden. Mr. Lancaster passed away on February 16, 2021 at CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital – Sulphur Springs.
Jerry was born on October 30, 1947 in Sulphur Springs to William and Oleta (Patton) Lancaster. He married Cindy Blount on May 14, 1983 in Sherman, TX. Jerry is a Veteran of the U.S Navy. He was stationed in the Philippines and Corpus Christi during the Vietnam war. Jerry worked as a project manager for commercial construction. He was a proud member of the SSHS class of 1966 and a member of the Wednesday night Old Geezers Club.
He is survived by his wife; daughters, Monica Lancaster and Brooke Golden, and husband, Ryan; son Cole Lancaster and fiancé, Keri Tubb; grandchild, Rogan; bonus grandchild, Amelia Stuckey; sisters, Jan Elliott and husband, Robert, and Ann Belcher and husband, Jim.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Larry Lancaster.
