Funeral services for Sherry Yvonne Gilbert, age 70, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at County Line Baptist Church with Bro. Wayne Darty officiating. Interment will follow at Miller Grove Cemetery with Ken Haywood, James Oler, Hagen Holland, Stephen Sparks, Darren Renshaw, and Kent Renshaw serving as pallbearers.
There will be a come and go visitation from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Sherry passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at her home.
She was born on June 13, 1950 in Dallas, the daughter of James Carroll Renshaw and Lillie Belle Davis Renshaw. She married Paul Gilbert on October 30, 1971 in Dallas County. Sherry was a 911 operator for the Dallas Police Department and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her husband Paul, she is survived by her mother, Lillie Belle Renshaw of Miller Grove, sons, Paul Daniel Gilbert of Cumby, David Alan Gilbert and wife Nickie of Forney and Adam Anson Gilbert and spouse Eddie Mays of Dallas, sisters, Phyllis Haywood and husband Ken of Sulphur Springs, Susan White of Miller Grove, and Lisa Oler and husband Jackie of Point, grandchildren, Corbin Gilbert, Madison Armstrong, and Jasmin Gilbert.
She was preceded in death by her father and brother, James Ronald Renshaw. Arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks
