LaVerne Watson

A Memorial services for LaVerne Watson, age 75, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at the Tapp Funeral Home Chapel with Joseph Williams officiating.

LaVerne passed away October 23, 2020 at Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler.

She was born October 31, 1944 in Inglewood, California, the daughter of Cy Henry Newton Holland and Virginia Rheel Holland. LaVerne received her MBA Masters in Business Administration, a MED Masters in Education and almost completed her doctrine in higher education (all but her dissertation).

Mrs. Watson worked at A&M Commerce as an intern in H.R. and was a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include daughter: Michelle Williams; son: Darren Watson; Grandchildren: Jordan Williams, Hannah Williams and Caleb Williams; sisters: Mary Leshe and Annette Black; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson: Joshua Williams; sister: Henrietta Killam.
