Wood County Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicles
  • Deputies were dispatched to Sioux near Quitman, at approximately 7:57 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.
  • At 9:32 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 515 near Yantis.
  • Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 10:40 a.m., in reference to an animal complaint on PR 6113 near Quitman. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 1917 near Yantis; at approximately 2:56 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.
  • Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to FM 17 near Alba; at approximately 3:13 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 2088 near Quitman, at approximately 8:10 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and provided a courtesy transport.
  • Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 2768 near Mineola; at approximately 9:09 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.
  • Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 2298 near Mineola; at approximately 10:28 p.m. Luke Prior, 39, of Mineola, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 14 near Hawkins, at approximately 11:24 p.m., in reference to an abandoned vehicle. Deputies located the vehicle and cleared the incident.

February 20

  • Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 2427 near Mineola; at approximately 12:15 a.m. Bobby Cotton, 44, of Mineola, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 1801 near Mineola, at approximately 1:33 a.m., in reference to a dispute. Parties were separated for the night.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Front St. in Hawkins, at approximately 5:34 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies made contact with the employee and determined it was an accident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 4579 near Winnsboro, at approximately 9:25 a.m., in reference to a theft. Actors, or actors unknown, stole a water heater from the reporting party’s property.
  • Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 10:21 a.m., in reference to a scam on Rolling Ridge near Hawkins. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
  • At 10:26 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 515 near Yantis.
  • Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 2427 near Mineola; at approximately 1:12 p.m. Robert Bodwell, 38, of Mineola, was arrested for outstanding warrants.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 4590 near Winnsboro, at approximately 2:26 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Parties were separated for the day.
  • At 3:31 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 515 near Yantis.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 2110 near Quitman, at approximately 4:07 p.m., in reference to criminal mischief. Known actors damaged and stole several items from the reporting party’s property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • At 4:39 p.m., cows were reported out on Highway 154 near Yantis.
  • Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 5:05 p.m., in reference to a scam on CR 3940 near Hawkins. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 49 near Mineola, at approximately 5:18 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.
  • Deputies conducted a traffic stop on CR 1905 near Yantis; at approximately 6:41 p.m. Micah Neill, 29, of Yantis, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated with Alcohol Concentration of 0.15 or More.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Highway 37 near Mineola, at approximately 7:26 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
  • Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 7:33 p.m., in reference to a dispute on FM 515 near Como. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
  • At 9:10 p.m., cows were reported out on HWY 80 near Mineola.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 2176 near Quitman, at approximately 10:47 p.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any activity.

February 21

  • Deputies responded to a suspicious person on Highway 37 near Mineola; at approximately 1:21 a.m. Deputies located the individual and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on FM 17 near Alba; at approximately 3:43 a.m. Deputies located the vehicle and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies responded to a suspicious person on CR 4536 near Winnsboro; at approximately 5:59 a.m. Deputies located the individual and provided a courtesy transport.
  • At 9:23 a.m., cows were reported out on CR 1912 near Yantis.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Highway 154 near Yantis, at approximately 11:48 a.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
  • Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 154 near Yantis; at approximately 12:58 p.m. Brandi Potts, 34, of Yantis, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 14 near Mineola, at approximately 3:14 p.m., in reference to an inquest. A male, 50, was found deceased in his residence. The Justice of the Peace arrived and no autopsy was ordered.
  • Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to Highway 37 near Quitman; at approximately 3:26 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 2966 near Yantis, at approximately 6:57 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.
  • Deputies conducted a traffic stop on FM 778 near Quitman; at approximately 7:29 p.m. Dale Rhodes, 25, of Harleton, was arrested for outstanding warrants.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 3588 near Winnsboro, at approximately 8:17 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 779 near Alba, at approximately 8:27 p.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any activity.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 2088 near Winnsboro, at approximately 8:29 p.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any activity.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 2920 near Alba, at approximately 9:48 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.

February 22

  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 1700 near Yantis, at approximately 3:06 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.
  • Deputies responded to a suspicious person on FM 312 near Winnsboro; at approximately 6:13 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Highway 154 near Quitman, at approximately 8:42 a.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Highway 80 near Mineola, at approximately 11:46 a.m., in reference to a dispute. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 3496 near Hawkins, at approximately 12:19 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.
  • Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 12:45 p.m., in reference to a terroristic threat on CR 1236 near Quitman. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Highway 69 near Mineola, at approximately 2:05 p.m., in reference to a burglary. Actors, or actors unknown, damaged and stole several items from the reporting party’s property. This case is active.
  • Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 6:21 p.m., in reference to a disturbance on CR 3540 near Hawkins. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Oak St. in Yantis, at approximately 8:12 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies issued a Criminal Trespass Warning and cleared the incident.

  • Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 80 near Mineola; at approximately 11:07 p.m. Scott Wideman, 31, of Lindale, was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Shanna Morgan, 42, of Gladewater, was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 2176 near Quitman, at approximately 11:36 p.m., in reference to disorderly conduct. Cole Bell, 23, of Mineola, was arrested for Disorderly Conduct. Corey Hudson, 18, of Quitman, was arrested for Disorderly Conduct.

February 23

  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 1895 near Yantis, at approximately 11:06 a.m., in reference to a theft. Actors, or actors unknown, stole several items from the reporting party’s property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 1647 near Winnsboro, at approximately 12:15 p.m., in reference to criminal mischief. Actors, actors unknown, damaged the reporting party’s mailbox.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 2840 near Mineola, at approximately 2:17 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Deputies issued a Criminal Trespass Warning and cleared the incident.
  • At 4:05 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 1912 near Yantis.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Highway 154 near Quitman, at approximately 4:50 p.m., in reference to an assault. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.

  • Deputies responded to a suspicious person on HWY 37 near Winnsboro; at approximately 11:17 p.m. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

February 24

  • Deputies were dispatched to Cheyenne near Quitman, at approximately 5:15 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Michael Lawson, 37, of Quitman, was arrested for Interference with Public Duties.
  • Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 10:08 a.m., in reference to a possible theft on CR 4990 near Winnsboro. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
  • At 10:38 a.m., horses were reported out on FM 1804 near Mineola.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 1700 near Yantis, at approximately 3:16 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Russell Nipp, 34, of Emory, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Highway 37 near Mineola, at approximately 6:39 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Highway 37 near Winnsboro, at approximately 7:58 p.m., in reference to shots fired. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any activity.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Highway 37 near Winnsboro, at approximately 8:17 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies made contact with the homeowner and everything was OK.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 4350 near Winnsboro, at approximately 8:44 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on Highway 154 near Quitman; at approximately 9:04 p.m. Deputies located the vehicle and cleared the incident.

  • Deputies were dispatched to Highway 37 near Quitman, at approximately 6:10 a.m., in reference to an abandoned vehicle. Deputies located the vehicle and cleared the incident.
  • At 8:19 a.m., cows were reported out on CR 2774 near Mineola.
  • Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 10:41 a.m., in reference to fraud on CR 2950 near Alba. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Highway 69 near Mineola, at approximately 11:18 a.m., in reference to theft. Actors, or actors unknown, stole several items from the reporting party’s storage building. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • At 12:26 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 4412 near Winnsboro.
  • Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 1:45 p.m., in reference to fraud on FM 1804 near Mineola. Actors, or actors unknown, used one of the reporting party’s checks. This case is active.
