Funeral service for Ethleen Pollan, age 94, of Mt. Vernon, TX will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at Mt. Vernon Church of Christ with Chip Horton officiating and Chris McElyea assisting. Interment will take place at Old Saltillo Cemetery with Paul Majors, Brad Meyer, Andy Emery, Brian Gurley, Lucas McElyea, Eric Poe, Coby Fite and Cason Meyer serving as pallbearers and Kevin Fite as honorary pallbearer. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Pollan passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at Titus Regional Medical Center, Mt. Pleasant, TX.
Ethleen was born on November 7, 1925 in Cedar Hill, TX to William and Verna Bishop. She married R.C. Polan on April 10, 1942 in Floydada, TX and he preceded her in death in 2014. Ethleen retired from Texas Instrument. She was a member of Mt. Vernon Church of Christ.
She is survived by her daughter, Velda Lee Pollan Williams and husband, Richmond Lee; grandchildren, Christine Lee, Carla Adamson and husband, Kelley, Caron Cumbie, Clint Williams and wife, Tammy; great grandchildren, Garrett Ashmore, Colton Lee, Kelsey Lee, Adrienne Freeman, Brynne Adamson, Kindra Cumbie, Raven Williams, Dakota Williams, Hunter Williams; great great grandchildren, Haylea and Scarlet Ashmore, Rayden Cumbie, Ezra Lee, Braylen Stokes.
Ethleen was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Howard Bishop, Horace Bishop, F.M. Bishop; sisters, Anna Ruth Graham and Mary Frances Head.
