Funeral service for Sam Kopal, age 14, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, March 13, 2020 at the Sulphur Springs High School Auditorium. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 P.M. on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel. Sam passed away on March 10, 2020 in Broken Bow.
Sam was born on May 10, 2005 in Sulphur Springs to Chad and Cristie Kopal. He attended Sulphur Springs High School and was very active in sports. He played basketball for the Sulphur Springs Wildcats with such pride. Sam also played baseball and loved the sport and his team. He was a member of TWBC and attended Shannon Oaks Church.
He is survived by parents; sister, Chloe; grandparents, Bob and Nancy Kirkpatrick, Ed and Suzan Kopal, Ken and Kathy Matlock; aunts and uncles, Craig and Ann Roberts, John and Ashley Kirkpatrick, Shane and Jennifer Johnson, David and Christina Foster, Kimberly Kopal; cousins, Jesse and Hannah Morrill, Jake and Krista Morrill, Jase, Jonah and Annjanae (Pete) Kirkpatrick, Cameron Kopal, Elizabeth, Jackson Bousquet, Ashleigh and Brook Johnson; multiple great uncles, aunts and great cousins.
Sam was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Thurman and Edith Fox, Dr. Omer and Nell Kirkpatrick; uncle, Chuck Morrill, cousin, Josh Morrill.
