Funeral service for John Alfred Blanton, age 90, of Emory will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel in Emory. Bro. Wayne Wolfe will be officiating. Interment will follow in Clifton Cemetery. Visitation will be held at 1:00 PM, one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Blanton passed away at home on February 8, 2020. He was born on May 3, 1929, in Rains County to Fred and Della Holman-Blanton. He married Mary Joyce Potts on February 6, 1954, in Oklahoma. He served his country in the United States Army, was a farmer, and worked as an aircraft mechanic for 40 years with L-3.
He will be greatly missed.
