A traffic stop on League Street Friday night, Feb. 21, resulted in a Sulphur Springs man’s arrest on a felony warrant.

Hopkins County Sheriff‘s Deputy Lance Burdick reported stopping a vehicle on League Street near Connally Street just before 11:30 p.m. for a defective stop light and an obscured license plate.
A records check showed the driver to be wanted for violation of probation, which he was on for possession of less than 1 gram of a Penalty Group 1 controlled substance, according to arrest reports.
Consequently, Chadwick Jaquane Anderson was taken into custody and jailed on the warrant, according to arrest reports. He was also booked on a warrant for driving while license invalid. Anderson remained in Hopkins County jail on the charges late Saturday morning, according to jail reports.
