Lady Cats Soccer Team Opens District Play With Dominating 6-1 Victory over Greenville at The Prim

The Lady Cats Soccer Team opened district play in fine fashion defeating the Greenville Lady Lions, 6-1 Tuesday night (February 11) at Gerald Prim Stadium. Lady Cat Haley Robinson scored the first three Lady Cats goals in the contest. Freshman Rebekah Stanley assisted on all three of the hat trick goals. Stanley scored the fourth Lady Cats goal unassisted. Janine Yamaguchi scored the fifth Lady Cats goal assisted by Ashley Noe. Stanley scored her second goal of the night and sixth for the Lady Cats on a penalty kick. Lady Cats Coach Javier Aguayo said he was very proud of the results He said the Lady Cats played as a team. Coach Aguayo said the varsity controlled the game from the first half and had more possession of the ball than the Lady Lions. Coach Aguayo said there were no mistakes from the Lady Cats defense. He said he was happy with the results and the way the Lady Cats played Tuesday night. The Lady Cats, 1-0 in district play and 5-6-1 for the season, host Lindale at The Prim Friday night.
