George E. Ramsey Jr.

George E. Ramsey Jr.  May 22,1966 – December 31,2019

George Ennis Ramsey Jr. 53, formerly of Greenville, TX entered into rest on December 31, 2019. George was the son of George Ennis Ramsey Sr. of Ft. Worth and Nita Droddy Kennemer of Greenville. 

George was born on 5/22/1966 in Irving, Texas.  As a young man, his family moved to Cash, Texas where he attended Quinlan Ford High School and would later meet his wife, Tenia Ramsey in Greenville, TX. 

The two were married for 26 years and raised 3 children. 
George was a special kind of person. Those who knew him loved him and that led to a lifetime full of great friends and family. George was passionate about racing. He loved all kinds, but he especially enjoyed circle track racing. While living in Bayard, NM George became a member of Tres Gringos Racing. He also held the New Mexico state championship in Modified Go-Cart Racing from 2014 to 2018

George was a loving husband, father and pee-paw who will be so very missed.

George leaves behind his wife, Tenia Ramsey. 

Daughter, Kim Haivala – husband Josh Haivala and children Jentri, Logan, Ryker and Lane

Daughter, Jennifer Dean – husband James Dean and children Kenzie and Levi

Son and close friend, Tim Cook and future wife Kelsey McKay

Son, Jacob Ramsey

Brother, James Jones and wife Linda. . Brother, Jimmy Jones and wife Cynthia. 

Father in Law James Cook and wife Pam. Mother in Law Mildred Miles Burns and Husband Ron

Brother in law Charles Cook and wife Windy, Sister in law Tonja Martin. Sister in law Lenia Cook. Sister in law Billie Jo Franklin and Brother in law Jyrome Cook.

As well as many nieces and nephews.
George is preceded in death by his parents, George and Nita as well as his “Father in law #2’ Bobby Joe Miles.
A memorial service will be held in George’s honor on Wednesday  January 8, 2020  at the Emory City Centre located at 735 N. Texas St. Emory, TX 75440

Services will begin at 6:00 pm
