Wilma Goldsmith

Graveside service for Wilma Goldsmith, age 91, of Sulphur Springs will held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Weaver Cemetery with Bro. Tom Friday officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 18, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Wilma Grace Goldsmith died on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 in Sulphur Springs, TX after an extended illness. She was 91 years of age. Wilma was born on March 28, 1928 in Hatchetville, TX to James and Vola Walker. She spent her life in the dairy business. She lived in the Weaver community and was married to Dusty Goldsmith for more than 60 years. She was a member of the Weaver Baptist Church.
Wilma, or MawMaw as she was called by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was a good and gracious lady who shared her good humor, good food and immense warmth with her family and friends.
She had a passion for cooking, and she loved babies.
The kitchen was her domain and her meals masterpieces. Her turkey, dressing and pies were legendary and were the center piece of the Thanksgiving and Christmas season for the Goldsmith family.
Wilma was a hard-working, Christian woman, a loving mother and grandmother.
Wilma was proceeded in death by her parents; her son Michael Goldsmith; grandchildren, Stacie Goldsmith and Joshua Barnwell; two brothers and four sisters.
She is survived by her children Dusty Goldsmith and wife Misha, Dale Goldsmith, Sherry Goldsmith Hoppock and husband Douglas and Laurie Goldsmith; grandchildren, Chancie Goldsmith, Lena Saunders, Ricky Goldsmith and wife Valerie, Jamie Goldsmith and wife Jamie, Rusty Goldsmith and wife Hope, Jeremy Barnwell and wife Alison, Dustin Goldsmith, Brandon Goldsmith, Tiffany Darrow and husband Hunter, Courtney Kissling and husband Tad, Justin Burkett and wife Amanda, Mindy Franklin and husband Brandon and Joe Sims; Great grandchildren; Audra, Charlotte and Caroline Goldsmith, Savannah Goldsmith, Everett Barnwell, Laynie and Wyatt Weston Goldsmith, Rylie Grace and Reed Michael Goldsmith, Dawson Darrow, Jayden, Brooklyn and Keyton Sims, Devon Franklin, Aubree, Zoee and Joseph Sims, Joshua Cole Mowdy, Caleb Israel Mowdy and Josiah Israel Mowdy, Devon Russell, Hayley Lopez & Connor Russell.
