Funeral mass of Christian Burial for Leopoldo Romero Sosa, age 71, of Como, will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, November 2, 2019 at St. James Catholic Church with Father Juan Carlos Sardinas officiating.
Interment will follow at Sanchez Cemetery with Manuel Romero, Jose Romero, Erick Romero, Danny Romero, Mario Romero, Javier Romero, Giovanny Romero, and Nickolas Romero serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 1, 2019 at West Oaks Funeral Home with Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. Leopoldo passed away on October 26, 2019 in Tyler, TX.
He was born on November 14, 1947 in El Ahijadero Michoacan, Mexico, the son of Juan Romero and Fortunata Sosa. He worked in agriculture all his life. He enjoyed working on the farm and tending to the cattle. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church. He is survived by wife, Basilia Romero of Como, sons, Manuel Romero and Shanna of Como, Jose Leopoldo Romero of Como, Erick Romero and Laura of Sulphur Springs, Danny Romero and Veronica of Sulphur Springs, Mario Romero and Crystal of Como, grandchildren, Chloe Romero, Emma Romero, Isabella Romero, Alexa Romero, Luna Romero, Giovanny Romero, Nickolas Romero, Easton Romero, Logan Romero, brothers, Mariano Romero, Jose Luis Romero, Juan Romero, Javier Romero, and sisters, Eugenia Bucio, Guillermina Bucio, and Gladys Solorzano. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Teresa Romero and Adelaida Ibarra.
