Funeral service for Doris Duncan, age 92, of Flora will held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Tony Hurley officiating. Interment will follow at Connor Cemetery with Jerry Duncan, Kenneth Cullins, Jeff Brown, Brandon Buckland, Kaleb Brown, Harrison Fite, Samuel Canaveras, Daniel Canaveras serving as pallbearers and A.G. Sandifeer and Michael Tombs serving as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 28, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mrs. Duncan passed away on Friday, October 25, 2019 at Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Sulphur Springs.
Doris was born December 7, 1926 in Flora, TX to Bethel and Jessie Magness. She married Clovis Duncan on November 20th, 1943 and he preceded her in death in 2000. Doris retired from Munves Fashion.
She is survived by her sons, Jimmy Duncan and wife, Millie, Larry Duncan and Randy; daughter, Brenda Adcock and husband, Jack; grandchildren, Jerry Duncan and wife, Cara, Kenneth Cullins and wife, Heather, Naja Brown and husband, Jeff, Samuel Canaveras, Daniel Canaveras, Rachel Buckland and husband, Brandon; great-grandchildren, Chelsea Mayes, Katelyn Morgan, Quincie Duncan, McKenna Duncan, Mardi Fite, Kaleb Brown, Harrison Fite, Raylee Buckland, Abbie Cullins, Katie Cullins; great-great-grandchildren: Paxton Cupp, Aubree Jo Scott, Jhettsen Swanner, Hazel Mayes; and sister, Kay Pursley.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clovis; daughter, Jeanie Cullins; and sister, Sue Gowan.
The family would like to request that donations be made to the Connor Cemetery Association, 11531 FM 69 N., Sulphur Bluff, TX 75481.
