July 31

  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 3056 near Hawkins, at approximately 12:17 a.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any activity.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Village Trail near Hawkins, at approximately 8:21 a.m., in reference to theft. Actors, or actors unknown, stole several items from the area. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • Deputies were dispatched to HWY 80 near Mineola, at approximately 9:33 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.
  • Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 2:05 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass on FM 852 near Winnsboro. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 2966 near Quitman, at approximately 3:03 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies made contact with the owner and determined it was an accident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 1944 near Yantis, at approximately 4:35 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
  • At 7:54 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 779 near Mineola.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 4430 near Winnsboro, at approximately 8:28 p.m., in reference to an assault that occurred. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 3440 near Hawkins, at approximately 9:11 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individuals and everything was OK.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 778 near Hawkins, at approximately 11:21 p.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any activity.

August 1st

  • At 9:54 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 515 near Winnsboro.
  • Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 12:11 p.m., in reference to dumping on CR 1236 near Quitman. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 4990 near Quitman, at approximately 2:09 p.m., in reference to an inquest. A male, 70, was found deceased at his residence. The Justice of the Peace was notified and no autopsy was ordered.
  • Deputies were dispatched to HWY 37 near Winnsboro, at approximately 5:25 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies located the vehicle and cleared the incident.
  • At 5:32 p.m., horses were reported out on HWY 37 near Quitman.
  • Deputies were dispatched to HWY 80 near Mineola, at approximately 6:06 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 514 near Yantis, at approximately 7:36 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 2432 near Mineola, at approximately 8:02 p.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies located the individuals and advised them to lower the volume of the music.
  • At 9:01 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 1320 near Quitman.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 852 near Winnsboro, at approximately 9:18 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies located the suspicious activity and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 3600 near Hawkins, at approximately 11:24 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
  • Deputies spoke to the reporting party, at approximately 11:49 p.m., in reference to a suspicious vehicle on HWY 80 near Mineola. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

August 2nd

  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 1997 near Yantis, at approximately 12:03 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
  • Deputies responded to a suspicious person on HWY 80 near Mineola; at approximately 5:37 a.m. Deputies located the individual and provided a courtesy transport.
  • Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Quitman, at approximately 7:53 a.m., in reference to theft. Actors, or actors unknown, damaged the reporting party’s feeder and stole the light and motor out of it. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • At 10:07 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 515 near Yantis.
  • Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 12:35 p.m., in reference to harassment on CR 4358 near Winnsboro. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 1750 near Yantis, at approximately 1:53 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 69 near Mineola, at approximately 5:53 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies located the vehicle and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 2130 near Quitman, at approximately 5:59 p.m., in reference to an assault that occurred. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 2660 near Mineola, at approximately 7:29 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 3875 near Mineola, at approximately 7:53 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.
  • Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to FM 14 near Quitman; at approximately 9:18 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

August 3rd

  • Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Quitman, at approximately 12:00 a.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
  • Deputies were dispatched to HWY 37 near Winnsboro, at approximately 1:50 a.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 3880 near Mineola, at approximately 3:14 a.m., in reference to a dispute. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.
  • At 8:05 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 515 near Yantis.
  • Deputies were dispatched to PR 8461 near Winnsboro, at approximately 8:15 a.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and determined this was a civil matter.
  • Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 2724 near Mineola; at approximately 9:47 a.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 2210 near Mineola, at approximately 10:20 a.m., in reference to a disturbance. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 4116 near Quitman; at approximately 10:45 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 4896 near Quitman, at approximately 12:31 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 4141 near Quitman, at approximately 1:29 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies advised the reporting party that extra patrol would be provided.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 3880 near Hawkins, at approximately 2:53 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Parties were separated for the day.
  • Deputies were dispatched to HWY 80 near Mineola, at approximately 3:53 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.
  • Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 6:52 p.m., in reference to a noise complaint on CR 3269 near Mineola. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 2245 near Mineola, at approximately 8:27 p.m., in reference to criminal mischief. Actors, or actors unknown, damaged the reporting party’s mailbox.
  • Deputies spoke to the reporting party, at approximately 9:15 p.m., in reference to an assault that occurred near Lake Winnsboro. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 49 near Mineola, at approximately 10:06 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies located the individuals and everything was OK.
  • At 10:56 p.m., horses were reported out on FM 852 near Winnsboro.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 1858 near Yantis, at approximately 11:09 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.

August 4th

  • Deputies were dispatched to PR 5290 near Yantis, at approximately 11:02 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
  • Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on FM 182 near Quitman; at approximately 12:53 p.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Geronimo near Quitman, at approximately 2:48 p.m., in reference to criminal mischief. Actors, or actors unknown, damaged the gates at Holiday Villages.
  • Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Quitman, at approximately 3:29 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Parties were separated for the day.
  • Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 3495 near Hawkins; at approximately 11:51 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

August 5th

  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 3163 near Quitman, at approximately 12:18 a.m., in reference to an assault that occurred. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • Deputies responded to a suspicious person on CR 3840 near Hawkins; at approximately 2:30 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.
  • Deputies were dispatched to HWY 14 near Hawkins, at approximately 5:02 a.m., in reference to a disturbance. The actors fled the scene in their vehicle, which lead to a pursuit. Deputies were able to safely conduct a stop on FM 2015 near Hawkins and make contact with the actors. Nathan Yacyszyn, 33, of Lindale, was arrested for an outstanding warrant and Manufacture Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Amanda Allen, 36, of Hawkins, was arrested for an outstanding warrant and Manufacture Delivery of a Controlled Substance.
  • At 8:19 a.m., cows were reported out on CR 3114 near Quitman.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 2088 near Winnsboro, at approximately 9:10 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 4649 near Winnsboro, at approximately 9:17 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.
  • Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on HWY 154 near Quitman; at approximately 10:52 a.m. Deputies located the vehicle and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Kiowa near Quitman, at approximately 5:32 p.m., in reference to an assault that occurred. Aaron Mason, 38, of Quitman, was arrested for Terroristic Threat and Assault of Family/Household Member Impede Breathing/Circulation of Family/Household Member.
  • Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Yantis, at approximately 5:47 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 2088 near Quitman, at approximately 7:54 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 2312 near Mineola, at approximately 7:57 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies located the vehicle and cleared the incident.

August 6th

  • Deputies responded to a suspicious person on CR 4700 near Winnsboro; at approximately 12:22 a.m. Prior to the deputies’ arrival, the individual left the scene.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 1804 near Mineola, at approximately 7:56 a.m., in reference to a burglary of a vehicle. Actors, or actors unknown, stole several items from the reporting party’s vehicle. This case has been forwarded to investigators.
  • Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 1:00 p.m., in reference to fraud on Holly Trail near Hawkins. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 4870 near Winnsboro, at approximately 3:19 p.m., in reference to credit/debit card abuse. Actors, or actors unknown, used the reporting party’s credit/debit card without authorization.
  • Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 6:14 p.m., in reference to criminal mischief on PR 8470 near Winnsboro. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Lake Winnsboro, at approximately 7:16 p.m., in reference to disorderly conduct. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to FM 2225 near Quitman, at approximately 7:56 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Mason Clanton, 19, of Quitman, was arrested for Assault Causes Bodily Injury Family Violence.
  • Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to Glazner St. in Hawkins; at approximately 8:24 p.m. Rhonda Finney, 57, of Hawkins, was arrested for Manufacture Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Stacy Wood, 51, of Hawkins, was arrested for Manufacture Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Larry Stuckey, 43, of Hawkins, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
  • Deputies were dispatched to CR 4700 near Winnsboro, at approximately 11:14 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies located the suspicious activity and cleared the incident.
  • Deputies were dispatched to Cactus Cove near Hawkins, at approximately 11:29 p.m., in reference to an assault. Michael Goode, 25, of Hawkins, was arrested for Assault Causes Bodily Injury of Family/Household Member.

Additional activity

  • Between the dates of July 31 and August 6, Wood County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to multiple agency assists that included the following: Emergency Medical Services, Mineola Police Department and Child Protective Services.
  • Between the dates of July 31 and August 6, Wood County Sheriff’s Investigators filed 2 cases with the District Attorney.
  • Over the last several weeks The Wood County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division and The Mineola Police Department conducted an investigation in regards to the sales and distribution of methamphetamine. On 8/01/2019, The Wood County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Mineola Police Department executed a Narcotics Search Warrant, at 218 Harris Street, in Mineola Texas. Upon executing the search warrant Carl McDonald and Shauna Jones were taken into custody for Man/Del of a Controlled Substance >=4g<200g in a Drug Free Zone. Other individuals inside the residence, Jacqueline Britton, Bradley Johnson, Robert Swanner, and Timothy Swanner were also taken into custody for Possession of a Controlled Substance <1g in a Drug Free Zone.

Total Jail Count –128 inmates – 103 males and 25 females.
