Hurbert Hoffman

Hurbert Hoffman, age 91 of Winnsboro, passed away on Monday, August 12th, 2019 in Pittsburg. He was born on August 6th, 1928 in Franklin County to the late Norris and Ora Starr Hoffman.
Hurbert worker for over 40 years in the Oil Field and was still able to keep all ten fingers and toes, given the environment he worked in. He was a very talented man, able to complete any and all task handed to him, he enjoyed working in carpentry, mechanics and many other trades. After departing from the oil fields, he raised cattle, which he enjoyed. His many hobbies included working on his land, taking care of his cattle, fishing and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 55 years, Melba Hoffman; and sisters, Mary Jo King and Hughlene Proctor.
He is survived by his children, Shela Ivey and husband, Buzzy, Sharon Warren, Wade Hoffman and wife, Debbie, Virginia Jones and husband, Wayne and Mary Anne Klueber and husband, Ed; and sister, Juanita “Aunt Blue” Lester. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 15th, 2019 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro 816 W. Broadway Winnsboro, TX 75494. Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, August 15th, 2019 at Bethel Cemetery, CR 4350 Scroggins, TX 75480 at 11:00 am with Bro. Ken Goodson conducting and Logan Hoffman, Landon Hoffman, Jeremy Hoffman, John Birdsong, Josh Warren and Tray Gilbreath serving as pallbearers.
