Saltillo Lady Lions face Boles at noon Saturday, December 29th, as they conclude their run in the Boles Tournament. Lady Lions won two Friday. They defeated Big Sandy 56-51 and Campbell 55-50.
A strong first and third quarter against Big Sandy provided the margin for the win. Lady Lions scoring against Big Sandy: Anna Reeder, 23; Maddy Smith, 9; Jocelyn Ochoa, 8; Lorena Castro, 7: Chandler Bain, 7: and Paisley Kastner, 2. The Lady Lions were 18 for 22 from the free throw line in the game.
Again the Lady Lions had a strong first quarter that aided in the win against Campbell. Scoring for the Lady Lions: Anna Reeder, 21; Jocelyn Ochoa, 10; Chandler Bain, 10; Kristina Wade, 6; Paisley Kastner, 5; and Maddy Smith, 3. Lady Lions were 13 for 18 from the free throw line.
The Lady Lions go into the noon game with a 15-8 season record.
