Calvin L. Loughary

Military graveside honors by the Hopkins County Military Coalition for Calvin L. Loughary, age 77, will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Shooks Chapel Cemetery.  There will be no formal visitation.  Mr. Loughary passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital in Sulphur Springs. 

Mr. Loughary was born on May 9, 1941 in Gideon, Missouri the son of James Ruben Loughary and Eva Dowdy Loughary.  He married Barbara Starnes on March 29, 1992 and she survives.  Mr. Loughary served in the United States Air Force and worked for Bosch & Lomb in research and development. 

In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Mike Loughary of Clute, TX, daughter, Diana Hoffman and husband Bobby of New Florence, MO, step-sons, Carlton Dewayne Cagle of Emory and Kenneth Earl Cagle and wife Margaret of Emory, grandchildren, David Loughary, Ryan Hoffman, Trent Hoffman, Zachry Cagle, Shaleah McNeil and Lacey Jacobsen and 8 great-grandchildren. 

Arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home.
