Richard Diamond

It is with great sadness that we mourn the loss of the best husband, father, and PopPop. Richard Diamond passed away on November 19, 2018. He was 68.   He will be in our hearts forever.  Graveside service will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Reilly Springs Cemetery with Rev. Barry Hughes and Chris Yeary, Luke Yeary, Dax Diamond, Steele Diamond, Chris Diamond, Dillon Diamond, and Brittan Diamond serving as pallbearers.  Visitation will be held from 2 to 3:30 P.M. at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home, Sulphur Springs,TX. 

Richard Diamond was born on July 14, 1950 in Hanford, CA to Earnest and Mamie Ruth Diamond. He graduated Pickton High School in 1968. Richard, through his career, worked for Jim Masters, Lee Ray Contractor, Texas Utilities- 20 plus years, Diamond Insurance Company, Tradesmen, Blue Star Lending, Market Street.  He was a member of First United Methodist Church – Winnsboro and Suncreek United Methodist Church – Allen.  Richard never met a stranger and made friends with everyone.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry Diamond of McKinney; daughter, Leslie Diamond Yeary and husband, Chris of Allen; son, Dax Diamond and wife, Stacy of Lone Oak; grandchildren, Jules Yeary, Luke Yeary,Savannah Diamond, Steele Diamond; brother, Steve Diamond of Sulphur Springs and one beloved 8 year old puppy named Freckles.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Harold Diamond.

Memorials can be made to Suncreek United Methodist Church, 1517 West McDermott Drive, Allen, TX 75013

Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
