Local Man Dies in I-30 Pedestrian/Vehicle Accident

A two vehicle pedestrian accident early Sunday morning resulted in the death of Bradley Allen Vaughn, 34, of Sulphur Springs. Vaughn was crossing I-30 from the south side to the north side at 126 mile marker, near the location of Bob Evans Foods on the north side and Copy Products on the south side of the interstate.

Vaughn had successfully crossed the east bound lanes and had entered the west bound lanes when he was struck by two vehicles. Both vehicles stopped to render aid and were the ones who called 911, according to Justice of the Peace Brad Cummings. Cummings pronounced Vaughn dead at the scene at 2:09 a.m.

Vaughn’s body was sent to the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy.
