March 21st

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 80 near Hawkins, at approximately 2:25 a.m., in reference to an assault that occurred. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on CR 1941 near Yantis; at approximately 6:41 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2427 near Mineola, at approximately 7:34 a.m., in reference to an illegal burning violation. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any illegal burning.

At 8:13 a.m., cows were reported out on HWY 154 near Yantis.

Deputies were dispatched to PR 7108 near Quitman, at approximately 8:48 a.m., in reference to harassment. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

At 9:42 a.m., cows were reported out on CR 4250 near Winnsboro.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1941 near Yantis, at approximately 10:31 a.m., in reference to a scam. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2140 near Quitman, at approximately 11:33 a.m., in reference to a burglary. Actors, or actors unknown, stole several items from the reporting party’s residence.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Quitman, at approximately 11:43 a.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies were dispatched o FM 2966 near Quitman, at approximately 12:28 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies located the vehicle and cleared the incident.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to Morris St. in Quitman; at approximately 2:15 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 2157 near Quitman; at approximately 2:22 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 1799 near Mineola, at approximately 2:41 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on FM 288 near Quitman; at approximately 3:23 p.m. Deputies located the individual and provided a courtesy transport.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4353 near Winnsboro, at approximately 4:19 p.m., in reference to a burglary. Actors, or actors unknown, stole several items from the reporting party’s property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 515 near Winnsboro, at approximately 4:40 p.m., in reference to a burglary. Actors, or actors unknown, left dirt tracks in the reporting party’s residence, but nothing was missing. Deputies advised the reporting party they would provide extra patrol.

Deputies were dispatched to PR 8692 near Winnsboro, at approximately 6:20 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 49 near Mineola, at approximately 6:53 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Parties were separated for the night.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1336 near Quitman, at approximately 6:56 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1590 near Alba, at approximately 6:58 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies issued a Criminal Trespass Warning.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 80 near Hawkins, at approximately 11:43 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Prior to the deputies’ arrival, the individuals left the scene.

March 22nd

Deputies were dispatched to FM 515 near Winnsboro, at approximately 12:05 a.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies located the suspicious activity and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to Hwy 154 near Quitman, at approximately 1:42 a.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies located the suspicious activity and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2088 near Winnsboro, at approximately 12:24 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Parties were separated for the day.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 12:31 p.m., in reference to a scam that occurred on CR 2351 near Mineola. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

At 1:42 p.m., cows were reported out on HWY 37 near Winnsboro.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 2:39 p.m., in reference to found property that occurred on HWY 37 near Quitman. The property was recovered and this case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 80 near Mineola, at approximately 2:53 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Actors, or actors unknown, had been sleeping on the couch in the reporting party’s residence without consent. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any individuals.

At 4:57 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 515 near Yantis.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4702 near Winnsboro, at approximately 7:01 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and EMS assisted.

At 8:38 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 778 near Hawkins.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1600 near Alba, at approximately 8:45 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.

March 23rd

Deputies were dispatched to Choctaw near Quitman, at approximately 11:34 a.m., in reference to a dog bite. Deputies advised the owner of the quarantine protocol.

Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on CR 3499 near Hawkins, at approximately 3:06 p.m., but the individual failed to stop, which led into a pursuit. Steven Ehrlish, 40, of Georgetown, wrecked on Park St. in Greenville, and Loan Oak Police Department booked him in to Hunt County Jail. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

At 3:52 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 515 near Yantis.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2088 near Quitman, at approximately 5:52 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to PR 8574 near Winnsboro, at approximately 7:28 p.m., in reference to a theft. Actors, or actors unknown, stole the reporting party’s firearm. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 4470 near Winnsboro; at approximately 8:15 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4988 near Winnsboro, at approximately 8:38 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Shanna Carpenter, 38, of Winnsboro, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

At 9:44 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 4255 near Winnsboro.

Deputies were dispatched to Lake Holbrook point, at approximately 10:27 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies located the suspicious activity and cleared the incident.

March 24th

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3457 near Hawkins, at approximately 12:27 a.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Prior to the deputies’ arrival, the individuals left the scene.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 69 near Alba, at approximately 12:29 a.m., in reference to an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1971 near Yantis, at approximately 12:39 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2966 near Quitman, at approximately 2:35 a.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 515 near Winnsboro, at approximately 9:08 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and provided a courtesy transport.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 10:34 a.m., in reference to a scam that occurred on CR 3255 near Quitman. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to PR 6671 near Mineola, at approximately 11:29 a.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies issued Criminal Trespass Warnings.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on FM 779 near Alba, at approximately 1:28 p.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

At 2:11 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 4255 near Winnsboro.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1600 near Alba, at approximately 2:33 p.m., in reference to harassment. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 80 near Hawkins, at approximately 6:57 p.m., in reference to criminal mischief. A known actor damaged the reporting party’s property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1858 near Yantis, at approximately 7:48 p.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies locate the noise and advised the individuals to lower the volume of their music.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 80 near Hawkins, at approximately 8:18 p.m., in reference to terroristic threat. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on FM 2869 near Hawkins; at approximately 10:58 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1843 near Yantis, at approximately 10:40 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3270 near Quitman, at approximately 10:58 p.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies located the noise and advised the individuals to lower the volume of their music.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3457 near Hawkins, at approximately 11:01 p.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies located the noise and advised the individuals to lower the volume of their music.

March 25th

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1912 near Yantis, at approximately 7:12 a.m., in reference to an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Actors, or actors unknown, stole a vehicle and several items from the reporting party’s residence. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3130 near Quitman, at approximately 9:31 a.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Christopher Dalton, 45, of Quitman, was arrested for outstanding warrants.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 852 near Winnsboro, at approximately 9:33 a.m., in reference to theft. A known actor stole a horse from the reporting party’s property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 49 near Hawkins, at approximately 11:29 a.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 11:40 a.m., in reference to harassment that occurred on Primrose Cove near Hawkins. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to Hwy 80 near Hawkins, at approximately 1:27 p.m., in reference to shots fired. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any activity.

At 2:22 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 779 near Quitman.

Deputies were dispatched to Walker St. in Quitman, at approximately 3:31 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on Hwy 80 near Mineola; at approximately 6:06 p.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3854 near Mineola, at approximately 8:12 p.m., in reference to theft. Actors, or actors unknown, stole metal gates from the reporting party’s property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

At 8:43 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 778 near Hawkins.

Deputies were dispatched to Green Meadow Trail near Hawkins, at approximately 10:10 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

At 10:39 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 4860 near Quitman.

March 26th

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1970 near Yantis, at approximately 1:56 a.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4597 near Winnsboro, at approximately 11:26 a.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies spoke with the individuals and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to Sells St. in Yantis, at approximately 12:31 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. James Burris, 37, of Blackwell, OK, was arrested for Public Intoxication and Criminal Trespass of a Habitation/Shelter/Superfund Site/Infrastructure Facility.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3875 near Hawkins, at approximately 2:18 p.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

At 2:33 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 312 near Winnsboro.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 515 near Yantis, at approximately 3:32 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 4568 near Winnsboro, at approximately 4:54 p.m. Lori Courtney, 34, of Winnsboro, was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3522 near Leesburg, at approximately 6:27 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. David Hamlet, 54, of Hawkins, was arrested for outstanding warrants.

At 8:02 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 778 near Mineola.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 8:57 p.m., in reference to a fraud that occurred on FM 1647 near Winnsboro. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on FM 182 near Quitman, at approximately 11:19 p.m. Ashley Frazier, 30, of Mineola, was arrested for Failure to Indentify Fugitive Intentionally Give False Information, and an outstanding warrant.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2426 near Mineola, at approximately 11:53 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Parties were separated for the night.

March 27th

Deputies were dispatched to Glazner St. in Hawkins, at approximately 12:09 a.m., in reference to a disturbance. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individuals.

At 12:44 a.m., cows were reported out on FM 515 near Yantis.

Deputies were dispatched o FM 1804 near Mineola, at approximately 1:19 a.m., in reference to harassment. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to Winnsboro St. in Quitman, at approximately 3:41 a.m., in reference to an incident. Stacy Williamson, 40, of Quitman, was arrested for Public Intoxication.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 80 near Mineola, at approximately 8:56 a.m., in reference to an inquest. A male, 74, was found deceased in his residence. The Justice of the Peace arrived and no autopsy was ordered.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2269 near Quitman, at approximately 9:05 a.m., in reference to criminal mischief. Actors, or actors unknown, spray painted road signs and road surfaces. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to PR 5804 near Yantis, at approximately 12:00 p.m., in reference to theft. Actors, or actors unknown, stole several items from the reporting party’s property.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on PR 6325 near Mineola; at approximately 12:21 p.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2869 near Hawkins, at approximately 3:43 p.m., in reference to a possible burglary. Actors, or actors unknown, stole the reporting party’s purse. The purse was found later that evening. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

At 5:23 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 1726 near Yantis.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 115 near Winnsboro, at approximately 6:18 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individuals.

At 6:58 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 2088 near Quitman.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on FM 2225 near Quitman, at approximately 9:20 p.m. deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

Between the dates of March 21 and March 27, Wood County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to multiple agency assists that included the following: Police Departments, Game Wardens and Department of Public Safety.

Between the dates of March 21 and March 27, Wood County Sheriff’s Investigators filed 1 case with the District Attorney, obtained 3 arrest warrants and arrested the individuals.

Total Jail Count – 141 inmates – 120 males and 21 females.
