Wildcats Hit 8 Home Runs in Three Games; Begin District Play Tuesday

Early in their tournament game Friday, it looked like more of the same for the Wildcats’ baseball team. They fell behind Bridgeport, 4-0 in Sherman at the Grayson County Classic. Then the Wildcats found a cure to what’s been ailing them in the form of a ten-run inning!

They added 2 more runs in a couple more innings and they took a 14-4 win. The Wildcats continue to hit the long ball. They had three more home runs Friday for a tournament total of eight in three games. The Wildcats improved their season record to 4-7. They play back to back games on Saturday in Sherman. The Wildcats play Celina at 11 a.m. and then will face Sanger at 1:30 p.m.

The Wildcats open district play Tuesday at their new Wildcat Park against Pine Tree with a JV game at 4 p.m. and a varsity game at 7 p.m.
