At last report, the game is still on in Mount Pleasant between the Wildcats’ baseball team and the Tigers on this Tuesday (March 27) game day. Plans still call for a JV contest at 4 p.m. with the varsity game to follow at 7 p.m. There is a fairly good chance of rain for Mount Pleasant this evening. An opportunity to play the game Monday night was not taken.
The Mount Pleasant coach reportedly wished to keep the game on Tuesday night. Ryan Humphries is scheduled to pitch for the Wildcats, who are 3-0 in district play with home wins over Pine Tree and Texas High and a road win at Marshall. The Wildcats are 10-7 for the season and they have won seven games in a row. If the game is postponed Tuesday night, it might be played on Good Friday (March 30). The Wildcats host Greenville Thursday night (March 29) while the Tigers have an open date Thursday.
