Game Day: Lady Cats Softball at Mt Pleasant Monday; Soccer Playoff Warm-up Games

The Lady Cats’ softball team’s showdown with Mount Pleasant has been moved from Tuesday (March 27) to Monday night (March 26) at 6 p.m. in Mount Pleasant Concerns for rainy and stormy weather Tuesday prompted the move. The Lady Cats come into the big game with a 5-0 record in district play. Mount Pleasant is 4-1 in district play. The game will mark the end of the first half of district play.

A possible Lady Cats and Wildcats soccer playoff doubleheader was not to be this year as complications arose. The Lady Cats’ soccer team, the number three seed in District 16-5A, will play Wylie East, the number two seed in District 15-5A, Thursday (March 29) at 6 p.m. at Rockwall. The Wildcats’ soccer team, the number four seed in District 16-5A, will face Lovejoy, the champion of District 15-5A, at Wylie’s Pirate Stadium Thursday night (March 29) at 7 p.m. It’s the second year in a row the Wildcats will face the Leopards. Both the Lady Cats and the Wildcats have warm up games on Monday (March 26). The Lady Cats play Princeton at Gerald Prim Stadium Monday at 6 p.m. The Wildcats will play at Pittsburg Monday at 7:30 p.m.
