Two Big Cattle Sales Set for March

The Sulphur Springs Livestock and Dairy Auction will host two big cattle sales events in March.

The first will take place Monday, March 6, when a special stocker cow consignment sale will be held during the regular Monday Stocker Sale. This special offering will include more than 250 head of calves, heifers, mixed breed cows and bulls, and will sell at 3:30 p.m. Included in the sale will be 80 young cows, mostly Black Angus. Forty will have calves by their side. There will also be 12 virgin Black Angus bulls, 10-12 months old — all tested and fertile.

“This will be a good addition to our regular sale and will offer some very nice cattle,” said co-owner David Fowlers. The regular sale begins on Monday at 12:30 p.m.

The second March event at the Auction Market will be the NETBIO Pre-conditioned Calf and Yearling Sale on Wednesday, March 15. The consignment book has already been closed on this sale that features more than 8,000 head of cattle that have been through the NETBIO pre-conditioning and weaning program.

This sale will be broadcast on the Internet and the Sulphur Springs Livestock Auction will be accepting bids at LMA Auctions.com. Internet buyers should register in advance in order to bid.

DEMAND GOOD
