North Hopkins FFA Report: Reported by Faith Wheeler
The North Hopkins FFA officer team has been very busy this past month, with an agenda full of activities. To start the year off, the officer team hosted their annual FFA kick off. Where they invited the community to come join them for fun games and activities, accompanied by a hamburger and hotdog dinner. The team also gave announcements about the activities and events the chapter will be participating in this year. Since the Beta organization and FFA organization both share a love for community service the North Hopkins FFA Chapter and Beta club teamed up to collect items for The M.O.M project, but the project didn’t stop there the Beta and FFA officers made it a community wide project and got their whole school involved, collecting 2,141 items to send to the men and women serving our country. On October 5th the officers headed to the Priefert facility in Mt. Pleasant to drop off items the North Hopkins School and community collected and enjoyed a tour of the Priefert facility. On October 13th, the FFA officers hosted a chapter meeting to inform the FFA members that are participating in certain events of paperwork that needs to be filled out promptly.
The officer team has had a very productive month behind them and as October has drawn to a close, November is knocking on their door with many more events to come. With Thanksgiving and Christmas just around the corner the North Hopkins FFA chapter will be participating in many service projects to help our community during the holiday season.
