Winnsboro Police Department made no arrests during Holy Week, March 21-27, according to their weekly media report. They responded to 185 calls for service and issued 74 citations and 36 warnings during the seven day period.
One accident was investigated. Vehicle parts were found in a driveway on West Coke Road. Investigation discovered they were parts to a Nissan auto. Evidence at the scene indicated that the vehicle was traveling westbound. The driver failed to remain in a single lane, left the roadway, struck a culvert, and then hit brick flower beds where it came to rest in the driveway of 804 W. Coke. The vehicle was later located in the parking lot of City National Bank.
