This is National FFA Week so watch for the distinctive “blue jackets” worn by FFA members. Sulphur Springs ISD has new leadership for the 319 members of the SSHS FFA chapter and Ag Department. Instructors John Holland and Melissa Robbins along with Kade Brown, Student Advisor and Morgan Mayers, FFA Chapter President are getting ready for the “county show” February 25-27. The annual NETLA (Northeast Texas Livestock Association) show will feature 257 4H and FFA county students and their livestock projects. The public is encouraged to come and see the animals and meet the youth, and stay for the Sale of Champions on Saturday February 27 at 1pm.  A third SSHS Ag instructor John Luper is getting the FFA Ag Mechanics team ready to compete at the San Antonio Livestock Show this weekend. Other SSHS FFA officers not pictured are Jake Couch VP; Dakota Watkins, Secretary; Josh Couch, Treasurer; Sierra Sells, Sentinel; and Molly Gibbins, Historian.
