“Update”: At 11:40 a.m. DPS Garland Dispatch told KSST News that I-30 is now open and the north service road would be cleared by 11:45 a.m.
Friday morning, travel toward Greenville, Rockwall, Dallas, and points west is being delayed due to an accident. Traffic on I-30 Westbound (toward Dallas) is blocked as is from just before Cumby to the Commerce Exit, Exit 101. An 18-wheeler cattle truck turned over and rescue efforts for cattle and clearing the scene will take some time. The North Service Road is also blocked at the scene and has traffic backed up as well.
If you are traveling toward the Dallas area Friday morning, take the South Service Road to avoid the accident.
