Assault Arrest in Winnsboro; Report for the Week of December 14-20

police lightsSix arrests, an accident, 173 calls for service, 64 citations and 46 warnings occupied the seven day period, December 14-20, 2015, for the Winnsboro Police Department.

Assault causing bodily injury family led to the arrest of Cherish Dangerfield, 30, of Winnsboro on Monday, December 14, 2015.

Nicholas Ferguson, 18, of Winnsboro, was arrested Tuesday, December 15th on two Wood County warrants.

Joseph Vaught, 39, of Winnsboro, was arrested Wednesday the 16th on a Camp County warrant.

Edmund Schaeffer, 68, of Winnsboro, was arrested Friday the 18th for failing to signal required distance before turning.

Sarah Moses, 29, of Winnsboro, was arrested Saturday the 19th on a Hopkins County warrant.

Mellissa Smith, 35, of Longview, was arrested Sunday the 20th for driving while license invalid/suspended and three warrants out of Gregg County.

A two vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of East Myrtle and Walnut on Tuesday the 15th.  Injuries to those involved are unknown.
